Study Abroad!

How and when should I study abroad?

Study abroad lends breadth and depth to an undergraduate education.  Appalachian has a wide-variety of programs available from faculty-led programs  that last 2-4 weeks to semester- or year-long exchange at international partner institutions.  It is never too early to plan your study abroad.  It is also possible to participate in multiple opportunities over the course of your undergraduate career at App!!

For the Global Connections Certificate, a study abroad program that includes at least 3 course credits is required.

Appalachian has a variety of opportunities available for credit, from alternative service experiences to the longer programs mentioned above. Alternative service experiences abroad can also count toward the certificate's service requirement!  Have questions?  Just ask!
